About this prototype

This concept takes product exploration out of the form and gives it more space. Instead of browsing examples inline, users open a dedicated Product Explorer to search, filter, and compare options. If GIK doesn't have the right match, Search Elsewhere provides a way to find an example through an external marketplace and bring it back into the need.

The question: "Do users need a dedicated space to confidently find the right example product, and can external search help when GIK's results aren't enough?"

Try it

  1. Type “tar” into Item Name and select “Tarps”
  2. Click “Find an example product →”
  3. Search or filter by size, type, or packaging
  4. Select an example, or try “Search Elsewhere”
  5. Simulate searching Amazon/Walmart and bringing a product link back into GIK
  6. Confirm the example, then set Quantity & Unit separately

Why quantity stays separate

The selected product shows suppliers what kind of item the NPO needs, not how many. Even if the example is sold as a “6-Tarp Case,” Quantity & Unit remains a separate decision so the NPO can specify the amount they actually need.
